News Letter

Hi All,        A few lines to keep you up to date with all thats going on in and around the Club.

Robert Hyndman has been selected to shoot for the under 19's GB Fullbore Squad, brilliant effort on his part. Lots of luck in the competitions this summer.

RobH together with Robert Alderman and me (davee) are currenly shooting a .22 rimfire competition called the Jean Allwright, this a knockout comp and we have just shot the quarter finals, as both Robs shot out of their skins we stand a good chance of going on!

I suprisingly have won the Basingstoke Rifle Clubs knockout comp, much to my surprise.

A bigger surpise was for David Alderman after he entered a competition in Sporting Gun to win a Browning Cynergy Black-Ice 12 bore shotgun worth £1800.oo when he had a call to say he had won the shotgun!
He went of to a presentation and photo shoot for the magazine, watch out for the photo's. See attachment for a piccy.

Last Friday we ran a air rifle shooting evening for the Petersfield Scouts, twentyone Scouts, most shooting for the first time had a busy evening shooting and completing go carts for a run down Butser Hill (keep an eye on the local papers for the calsuaty figures) Many thanks to all that helped me particularly Gareth Abbout.

The following day we hosted a Challenge Match with 9th Bramshill Scout Rifle Club. Sad to say we lost but will do better on the return leg shortly. Jordan Pirt shot well in rifle and very well in pistol winning silver in rifle and gold in pistol. Garreth also pulled out the plug to win senoir rifle and come second in pistol. Ashley held us oldies up with a bronze for rifle.
A super afternoon much enjoyed by both clubs.
Again many thanks to the team for all their hard work to make the event a success.
