Liphook helps Hampshire retain the Inter County Championship

Liphook Scout Rifle Club members Matt Carrig and Robert Alderman were part of the 6 man team that left Hampshire in the early hours of April 10th heading for the National Indoor Shooting Centre at Aldersley, Wolverhampton.

The morning was taken up with 10 metre air rifle, and at the lunch break Hampshire were in second place with a score of 933 to Cheshire's 938. In the afternoon the rifles were replaced by air pistols. In a tightly fought competition the lead swung regularly between Hampshire and Cheshire, with the final aggregate giving Hampshire a score of 1842, just 5 points clear of Cheshire.
